We booked our holiday for September 2009 and had to start with a safari from Nairobi down to the coast. Our driver Joseph was in time to pick us from Nairobi airport in the morning and briefed us what we should expect even though Fred had written the whole holiday itinary for us. Recommended by Fred earlier, that we should sample a camp at least once during the safari, he recommended Kibo safari camp and all praises go to him.
Among all the accommodation we had, kibo came second to none.
We had a very short game drive in our first day, but Fred had promised, the second day was a full day game drive from 7am to 6pm with packed lunch. We saw lots of Elephants
Buffalos hyenas and a family of 3 lions. Our guide Joseph new the park well and took us around and it was no problem for him.
We left Kibo after breakfast for Tsavo West. Tsavo west looked bushy and rocky and did not expect to see much but to our surprise this seemed to be the home of cats, we saw
2 leopards on our way to the lodge Ngulia and later that afternoon before we entered the Sanctuary saw one lonely female cheetah that seemed to have lost her kids.
At the sanctuary we were not lucky to see the Rhino but Joseph explained to us that due to drought some rhinos were released from the sanctuary and we might see them the next day. True to his word, just has we were to leave the sanctuary some one called him on the radio and off we went and 2 rhinos were there.
In the lodge we expect the leo but it did not turn up.
Early morning game drive to the Mzima springs and we enjoyed the walk around the river there was an awful smell that the warden explained was due to deaths of hippos and other animals around the lake due to food shortage caused by the drought an experience we had had at Amboseli.
Tsavo East was full of red elephants and a total difference compared to Tsavo West.
Voi safari lodge with its stunning view was an attraction the water holes were full of elephants and buffalos. Later siting at the restaurant for lunch, we witnessed lions try a catch at the buffalos/elephants but were no match for big group of buffalos.
The second day was a full day game drive and we did not see any use to do a full day game drive but our guide decide to consult, and after talking to the office on phone, Fred insist we should do it cause it was a different feeling to visit the Madada rocks and the game drive along the crocodile invested waters of the Galana river.
We took his advice and went a whole day game drive, yes it was a hits safari, and we saw crocodiles, a big snake and different types of birds. We cannot recommend him enough, his advice was the best option.
Fred had booked our beach holiday at cottage in Diani Beach the wayside beach apartments.
A small place, but we liked it because we had quick access to the beach and the near by shopping centers. The rooms were clean and spacious, a TV and kitchen enough for
our afternoon coffee. When you visit diani beach do not miss the forties, a place we liked to relax during the day and no much hassle from the beach boys. The Alibaba cave restaurant for delicious food though a little bit priced.
After a few days we decided to do Wasini tour and Fred was happy again to arrange it for us at a very good price.
We did a city tour too but this time Fred offered us a car and driver for free, he booked us for lunch at Tamarind restaurant and in the afternoon, a visit to the Haller park, a place, if you have Kids, should visit for close encounter with the animals, Giraffes, Hippos, crocodiles and very large tortoise.

FRED & JOSEPH CONGRATULATIONS.

Do you believe a holiday is supposed to be a time to relax from every day’s heavy engagements, especially for honey mooners, People with disability, Family with young Kids, who need a different recipe? A guidance to real time safari itinerary, including the right Lodges/Camps is the beginning of a wonderful holiday. The correct pick up times by a cheerful driver guide, is the beginning of a "holiday inspiration safari". Safari Hits will provide the best insides. A safari is expensive but a new experience in every ones holiday. It started all after we arrived for checkin at the Ngulia safari lodge, a spectacular lodge with a view thro the Rhino sanctuary, a baited leophard in the evening during dinner time. In Amboseli, the sentrim Camp, Clean, good food and cheerfull staff, always smilling and ready to help. At the Ashnil lodge,
almost like back home, all, but a few tourist, were from UK. Very new lodge, wild animal around the water hole near the lodge. Thanks Fred, Alex & HITS. For your dream safari, email: info@safarihitskenya.com
