Asili are amazing! From the moment I contacted them, they responded promptly and efficiently. They designed a tailor-made, amazing 7 day safari to the Masai Mara, Nakuru, Amboseli and Tsavo West. The guide and driver James was helpful, professional, knowledgeable, flexible and a joy to travel with and learn from. The range of different animals I saw was massively impressive - from the Big 5 to gorgeous birds and colourful lizards. It was a privilege to visit a Masai village and gain insights into their life-style. All in all, an incredible and unforgettable experience. Thank you Asili for a truly amazing safari:-)

Excellent Tour Operators for your Kenya & Tanzania Experience
We had a trip of a lifetime in Kenya and Tanzania thanks to the expertise and guidance of Joyce and Monica from Asili Adventures.
Our driver in Nairobi George was a lot of fun and we had a great day at Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe House.
We enjoyed our safari in the Masai Mara very much. Joseph was a very knowledgeable guide and excellent driver and we felt very safe with him. It was an incredible day - We spotted a leopard and lions. He made every effort to keep us away from the other tour vehicles, so that we could film the animals.

Joyce and Monica were very efficient and patient with us in putting our trip together. They are friendly and nice people and it was a great pleasure getting to know them both.

Asili Adventure safaris are animal-orientated with maximum game drives and are great value for money.
Our permanent walk-in tent accommodation in the Masai Mara was very good. Clean, safe and great food.

We highly recommend anyone interested in going on a safari in East Africa to book a trip with Asili Adventure for a truly magical and wild experience.

I and my family (My wife and Daughter) had a wonderful time in Kenya. We were picked up at the airport and right from that time we were taken care very well . Although we had lot of apprehensions before the tour , it was all put to rest by the excellent service provided by Asili. I also would like to appreciate our guide Joseph for his knowledge and ensuring taht we had pleasant memories of our Kenyan safari trip. I would also like to thank Ms Joyce for tailoring an itinerary suiting our needs.

Safari in Amsoselli Park,Masasi Mara,Lake Nakuru, SWeet Waters were out of the world .

We were met at the airport and taken care of the whole week and returned to the airport at the end of the safari. It was amazing how well the guides knew the area and were able to get us the best pictures and experiences. We saw it all except we were too late for the river crossing!!
We would recommend this safari to anyone wanting a experience that exceeds expectations!
The chef at our camp prepared food according to our dietary needs and enjoyed serving us. We visited the Masai tribe nearby thanks to our guide, Mike.
Thanks for a "trip of a life time!"

We traveled with Asili Adventure, with Guides Mike (Kenya) and Edie (Tanzania). We had tented camps in Kenya and camped (Chas was cook) in Tanzania. The guides and cook were excellent - the driving was both rapid and very safe. The food was tasty and the guides new their subject well. Each day was interesting, and the guides made sure our needs were met. Outstanding.

Asili Adventure Tours did an exceptional job preparing for and leading our group of 21 North Americans on a 5 day safari through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Amboseli National Park in February 2014. I worked closely with Joyce in customizing our tour to meet the needs and interests of our group. She was always very professional, prompt and thorough when emailing about travel schedule, lodging accommodations and pricing. She paid attention to the details and gave honest feedback to make sure our participants were well cared for. As the tour leader, it gave me a peace of mind to know I could trust Joyce to take care of all of the details. Not only did Asili give us the most extensive package at the best price, they gave us an all-around unforgettable experience.

Our tour guides, Tito, Iddy and Festo, were some of the best tour guides around! Their professional, fun-loving nature and vast knowledge of the animals, made the Serengeti plains come alive. It was clear that they each loved their job and were just as excited as us to find The Big Five! They were always prompt and prepared when they met us in the morning. Boxed lunches were neatly placed in the seat pocket of everyone’s chair, coolers were filled with bottled water, and the vehicles were practically spotless! Several times I even saw them cleaning the windows before picking us up. Our guides took pride and joy in their job and put their customers first. They patiently waited for us to take hundreds of photos and even offered us their binoculars when someone wanted a closer look. They worked hard to find The Big Five for us, and succeeded! In our first day in the Serengeti, enroute to our hotel, we saw nearly everything, wildebeest, lions, zebra, elephants, hippos, warthogs, crocodiles and even the elusive leopard! Their ability to spot animals from such far distances is beyond me! To make our trip extra special, Joyce and her team went the extra mile to plan a surprise birthday celebration for one of our tour members! Paying attention to the little details, such as birthdays, is what sets a company like Asili a part from the others.

Asili’s vehicles were well equipped with a cooler to store water bottles and electrical outlets to charge camera batteries enroute. They were comfortable to ride in, even on the long, bumpy roads, and gave us plenty of space to stand up and move around when spotting animals. The luggage space in the back is very limited, but Joyce and I worked out the issues of baggage reduction the night before leaving so no issues were caused.

Asili Adventures goes above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I certainly recommend Asili Adventure Tours to anyone traveling to East Africa. You will not be disappointed!

We undertook a 10 day private safari through Kenya and Tanzania and then on to Rwanda to see the mountain gorillas. All of the tours were organised by Asili and were most enjoyable. Our tour guides in Kenya (Joseph) Tanzania (Frank)and Rwanda (Freddy) were great company and very knowledgeable about the local animals, birds and flora in their respective countries. We chose medium range accommodation for our trip which was mainly permanent camp sites. These were comfortable but sometimes hard to get hot water. The food was good without being great, but it was what we paid for, so we are not complaining. In fact when one of the accommodation sites in Rwanda did not come up to the expected standard, without any request from us, Asili went ahead and upgraded our accommodation at the next stop at no extra cost. We were very appreciative of this. Overall a very enjoyable experience and We would highly recommend Asili to anyone considering a safari holiday in Africa

Our group of four did our 11 day safari with Asili Adventures in Dec 2012. We received a warm welcome from Joyce before departing.
The trip was a truly magnificent experience. The organisation was excellent, each leg of the journey flowed seamlessly into the next. Our guides were both very friendly and knowledgable, providing us with a wealth of knowledge about everything; from the wildlife to the history and culture of the areas we visited. They were also very responsible for our safety.
The accomodation varied but we had two wonderful stays at Kichakani camp (masai mara) and Kibo camp (Amboseli).
We felt very inspried by our trip, we've fallen in love with the vast plains and sunsets. We saw a massive range of animal and bird species.
We're planning to go again and would strongly recommend Asili Adventures!

We visited Amboseli, Nakuru and Masai Mara in Agust 2011.
Initial communications were very punctual and that first impression was upheld throughout the tour. Joyce and her team are dedicated and efficient. All was well organized. We only had one small hick-up with the accommodation in Nakuru, but that was swiftly and very satisfactorily resolved. Ben, our guide and driver, drove safely, was very knowledgeable, and most importantly, for much of the time managed to avoid the large herds of safari-buses (we were there in peak season). We saw everything we had hoped for, including many birds. I did the safari together with my 16 year old son and we really enjoyed all of it. I am 55, biologist by training, and had visited East Africa already many times for work. Expectations were exceeded and I am happy to recommend Asili.

Me and my husband did a 7 day honeymoon safari with Asili Adventure Safaris and the safari really exceeded our expectations.
We visited Amboseli, Nakuru and Masai Mara on August 2011.
Joyce organised us a wonderful itienary. Every place visited was interesting and different from each other and the visiting order was good. Saving the best for last kept the interest on. Also the accommodation was far better we had expected with the price we paid. For example we had a amazing honeymoon room in Mara Sopa lodge with big terrace. (For comparison: my brother did a couple of years ago a safari with another company. He paid approx. the same amount per day as we did and his accommodation was basic tents (no toilets, showers etc in the room). So I would really say this was worth the money.
Our guide/driver Duncan was a real professional and good company. He had amazing knowledge on the animals and he knew the answer to every question we asked him about the animals and also about life in Kenya (…and my husband asked a lot of questions!). We saw all the animals we could see including leopard which is quite rare. So we got the “The big 5”. Also a good example for Duncan’s professionalism was that on the last day the only animal we were still missing was Cheetah and Duncan said that “today we try to find one”. After half an hour we found 7 cheetahs!!
So, overall we were extremely satisfied with the arrangements and the safari itself and I can really recommend Asili Adventure Safaris as a safari tour operator!

The Safari far exceeded our expectations. Both Kenya and Tanzania were a revelation. We had a complete sense of security at all times.
We had asked Asili to concentrate on the variety of wildlife and especially big cats, so Joyce Mbote planned our very active itinerary with lots of consultation.
In all we saw over 35 different species, excluding birds. Highlights were Samburu (for variety) Sweetwaters (for atmosphere and the animal welfare programs), Serengeti( for the absolute quantity of game and close-up of lions) and Ngogongoro ( a microcosm of all the game).
Asili were very flexible with arrangements e.g. they varied the itinerary as I changed the date (mid may to early June) to take account of the seasons and accessibility and were able to arrange a visit to the Olkaria geothermal power station at short notice.
We are an energetic 67 and 71 respectively however an intensive tour such as this can be taxing. Joyce\\\'s suggestion of a mid tour break on Lukuba Island on Lake Victoria was inspired.
We were in awe of the knowledge and insight shown by both of our guides about the animals and about other cultural issues. As a trained Biologist, I had no issue with any of their information. In addition they were both delightful company and both were very sensitive to our needs and desires. Nothing seemed to be a trouble!
The accommodations (mainly Serena lodges) were uniformly excellent - comfortable, welcoming and with excellent facilities and attractive food, including packed lunches etc.
The only caution we would give is to be aware of the extremely bad condition of the road from Narok to the Maasi Mara (potholes visible from space!).
We would unreservedly recommend Asili to anyone looking for an active, interesting safari

We have had a brilliant safari at Asili with our guide Anthony! We did a 6 days camping safari (AASC-008) through Amboseli, Nakuru and Masai Mara and were picked up and dropped off where it suited us at the start and finish. The parcs were very nice and Anthony had a very good knowledge of all that surrounded us. We saw everything we would have dreamed to see including the migrating wildebeasts, a cheetah with kittens, hunting lions, a leopard and an ostrich with hatching eggs. During the low season in September 2010 we had a 'private' safari which worked very well for us and allthough there was just the two of us, we never had a dull moment thanks to Anthony (and ourselves of course ;))
The lodges at Kibo camp and Enchoro camp were absolutely great. But the second lodge at Nakuru was awful. We've discussed this with Asili and they might have changed the lodge already.
Unless other companies around us Anthony stayed on the road most of the time and was very keen on not damaging the parks in any way!
